[05:12]<PCdoc> :(
[05:14]<camerongray> IRC doesn't really work like that :P
[05:17]<Zuwer> Mibbit's client has a feature like that, ops can remove all text from a user. It's a cool feature, but because most people use other clients, it is kind of pointless.
[05:26]<PCdoc> means if I ask someone like quantos, he can remove?
[05:28]<Zuwer> It only applies to the Mibbit client and widget, so you wouldn't notice anything, as Quantos uses Mibbit, he would notice. Although, I don't think he has the access level to use that feature anyway.

[13:15]<Craig-Work> Hey Guys,
[13:15]<Craig-Work> anyone know anything about BSOD Errors relating to the new windows 8 and POWER DRIVER STATE FAILURE\
[13:16]<camerongray> He's a bloody i-don't-even-know! http://pastebin.com/hT2G1e39
[13:16]<Craig-Work> My FX CPU's are controlling your language :p
[13:16] * Nat (nat@mib-D760DC52.west.biz.rr.com) has joined #glitchpc
[13:16]<camerongray> haha
[13:17]<camerongray> But I mean, the i5 is tested and proven to be better for gaming
[13:17]<camerongray> He's just desparete to contradict me
[13:17]<Craig-Work> Maybe but my FX's are uber stable, even overclocked, and I can work on them 24/7 where alot of others can fail under 24/7 usage.
[13:18]<camerongray> They are fine chips yeah
[13:18]<camerongray> Just not the choice for a purely gaming machine
[13:18]<Craig-Work> :P Too true,
[13:18]<camerongray> And the way DB insists they are miles better is annoying as hell
[13:18]<Craig-Work> Though I can play 2/3 games running in the background, and kill about 30 tasks at once. :p
[13:19]<Craig-Work> DB doesnt know what he's on about...
[13:19]<Craig-Work> FX and AMD are office processors, they jumped on gaming but failed.
[13:19]<camerongray> Yeah
[13:20]<camerongray> And Intel are only office :P
[13:20]<Craig-Work> Intel has always been a general use processor, that jumped into gaming and got the speed.
[13:20]<camerongray> And the way he never actively responded to me!
[13:22]<Craig-Work> :P
[13:23]<Craig-Work> I run on average about 3500 processes at once. :p
[13:23]<Craig-Work> so I know the FX series can hold its own on multiprocessing.
[13:23]<Craig-Work> :P
[13:23]<camerongray> Yeah
[13:23]<camerongray> Even then, An i7 is 8 thread :P
[13:24]<Craig-Work> I am not sure if my FX is 8 core or 8 thread, now I have myself wondering since many of my partners here at work are biased to intel...
[13:25]<camerongray> I can explain this :D
[13:25]<camerongray> They have 4 full cores and each core has two integer units
[13:25]<camerongray> So it's sort of like AMD's version of Hyperthreading
[13:25]<@Mulreay> Hey camerongray Craig-Work and others
[13:25]<Craig-Work> So technically a dual core quad core?
[13:26]<Craig-Work> Hey Mulreay
[13:26]<camerongray> lol, I just say 4 core, 8 thread
[13:26]<Craig-Work> :p
[13:26]<Craig-Work> So there is not a dual chip integrated onto a single die, with 4 cores on each?
[13:26]<@Mulreay> I thought pentium did hyperthreading.. my P4 did
[13:27]<Craig-Work> It did. :)
[13:27]<@Mulreay> (never join into the middle of a conversation)
[13:29]<@BC_Programming> here goes
[13:29]<Craig-Work> Going for lunch guys, talk to you soon :p

[13:42]<@Mulreay> camerongray you still about?
[13:42]<camerongray> Yeah
[13:44]<@Mulreay> Cool, just a quicky i've just taken ownership of my Mum and dads business website URL.. I need to build a VERY simple website with just 4 tabs and basic information... would you be willing to help at some point? I have all the info and images we will use and could just use wordpress as the platform.
[13:44]<camerongray> Yeah, I could do bits
[13:44]<camerongray> Also working on a CMS for small sites like that :P
[13:45]<@Mulreay> Cool, any help would be appreciated.. the transfer is still pending so may be over the next few days
[13:46]<camerongray> Cool
[13:46]<camerongray> I'm still working on the CMS
[13:46]<camerongray> There is one I use at the moment called FrogCMS
[13:46]<camerongray> It's very light and easy to build a small site with
[13:46]<camerongray> Mine is just an improvement on that really
[13:48]<@Mulreay> Sounds great
[14:00]<camerongray> Oh he played his card again: http://pastebin.com/E7gyxKhb

[14:02]<Immental1200> Don't use cms for small sites, I've had a large number of mine MySQL injected
[14:03]<Immental1200> It's safer and easier to just make 4 html pages for something that size
[14:03]<@BC_Programming> Don't use a crappy CMS would probably be the better take-away
[14:05]<@BC_Programming> Mine has been fine, and believe me it get's a LOT of attempts. That's kinda why I dealt with the database properly and sanitized all input to prevent Injection...
[14:05]<camerongray> Yeah :P
[14:05]<camerongray> Don't use a CMS vulnerable to SQL injection :P
[14:07]<@BC_Programming> mysql_real_escape_string()
[14:07]<@BC_Programming> don't use the poser mysql_escape_string()
[14:07]<@Mulreay> I'll use what ever BC_Programming, camerongray, Craig, tux2 or may be God says
[14:10]<camerongray> lol
[14:11]<camerongray> My favorite is Drupal, but it's heavy for small sites
[14:14]<@Mulreay> Like I say 4 tabs on the homepage
[14:15]<@Mulreay> Just prices with some images

[15:43]<Immental1200> I used WordPress ... it got injected
[15:43]<Immental1200> Yes you did mention that :P
[15:44]<@BC_Programming> I use WordPress. It didn't get injected
[15:49]<Craig-Work> Why are you wanting to build a small site Mulreay
[15:49]<Craig-Work> ?
[15:50]<@BC_Programming> because big sites require too much scrolling
[15:57]<camerongray> hahah - <db100547> wreslter_girl205: careful about join/leave/join/leave... the MOD objects to many join/leave 's in a short time .
[15:58]<camerongray> Didn't know the Ministry of Defence cared that much :P

[17:04]<Immental1200> Erm.
[17:04]<Immental1200> The MOD don't give a fuck about some IRC channel.
[17:04]<Immental1200> Nice on DB.
[17:04]<Immental1200> one*
[17:05]<Immental1200> Oh hang on, it's just his silly capitalisation again...
[17:05]<Immental1200> And he probably meant moderator.

[17:30]<jamer> ill end up using raid in my desktop ...
[17:32]<camerongray> Immental1200: Yeah :P
[18:22]<@BC_Programming> this database schema is retarded
[18:23]<@BC_Programming> like possibly even stupider than guitar_man
[18:23]<@BC_Programming> oh here's a string field, it has a date in MM/DD/YYYY format that works I suppose, though comparisons are going to be retarded
[18:23]<@BC_Programming> Oh look here's another one, oh, it's YYYY/MM/DD because I guess the other one got boring
[18:26]<@BC_Programming> And now I have the f**king awesome task of figuring out how to compare a date passed in as standard MM/DD/YYYY from the Filter program with a Date that is in a String in YYYY/MM/DD format because some douchebag was dropped on their head as a child
[18:31]<jamer> Lol!
[18:32]<@BC_Programming> I like how these date fields are strings to begin with
[18:32]<@BC_Programming> freaking everything is a string field
[18:32]<@BC_Programming> Customer_Number is a String field... and half of the records don't even have a number in them
[18:32]<jamer> Thank god for raid
[18:35]<camerongray> Oh yeah BC_Programming
[18:35]<camerongray> In Canada, is your standard date format DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY?
[18:35]<camerongray> Just wondering
[18:35]<@BC_Programming> MM/DD/YYYY
[18:35]<camerongray> Aww, you have the stupid one:P
[18:36]<@BC_Programming> I think it's based on the text
[18:36]<@BC_Programming> eg. "January 2nd, 2013" in the same order
[18:36]<camerongray> True
[18:36]<camerongray> I still use the ISO format for everything :P
[18:36]<camerongray> And then get people "What is this date"
[18:36]<@BC_Programming> Either way YYYY/MM/DD is pretty crazy
[18:36]<camerongray> Yeah
[18:36]<camerongray> But it's the ISO standard
[18:36]<@BC_Programming> especially when every single other date is the other format
[18:36]<camerongray> YEah
[18:37]<camerongray> Needs to be consistant
[18:37]<camerongray> I use it in software though as it's then portable between countries
[18:37]<camerongray> And at uni when there are people that use both formats
[18:37]<@BC_Programming> ideally this wouldn't be a problem if the database was set to use freaking DateTime fields instead of strings
[18:37]<camerongray> Oh yeah
[18:37]<camerongray> Like Adobe returning "20th of January 2013" from their API :P
[18:42]<@BC_Programming> oh goody now Visual Studio has hung
[18:42]<camerongray> Ahh :P
[18:43]<camerongray> At work I use PHPStorm and SublimeText for almost everything
[18:43]<camerongray> PHPStorm's keyboard shortcuts are a bit daft though
[18:43]<camerongray> Remapped a few and it's better nwo
[18:43]<camerongray> now*
[18:43]<@BC_Programming> it was because I had BASeBlock Open... that project always causes Visual studio to hang because it's so big
[18:43]<camerongray> Ahh :P
[18:43]<camerongray> Jeez, that must be big!
[18:44]<@BC_Programming> I tried to open another project and it just sat there thrashing the drive while showing a completely unresponsive open dialog...
[18:58] * Craig-Work (Craig-Work@mib-80D2C75C.memxit.com) Quit (Quit: )
[19:05]<@BC_Programming> ahh that was fun
[19:05]<@BC_Programming> Location bar stopped doing anything after I tried to navigate directly
[19:05]<@BC_Programming> gave up and went there by going through all the folders
[19:05]<@BC_Programming> Then the view flashed as suddenly it decided it should heed by previous attempts
[19:06]<@BC_Programming> then it sent me back to C:\Users for no good reason
[19:07]<@BC_Programming> oh explorer is using 100% CPU, it must really like my four cores
[19:13]<jamer> So... Apparently im getting like a 5.9 on windows for disk performance
[19:14]<@BC_Programming> everybody get's 5.9 unless you have an SSD
[19:14]<@BC_Programming> or a really old Hard Drive I suppose
[19:14]<jamer> Sata 3gb on the drives... Though im in raid 0
[19:15]<@BC_Programming> I have 5.9 on both my desktop and laptop
[19:18]<@BC_Programming> hmm
[19:18]<@BC_Programming> to order a pizza
[19:18]<@BC_Programming> or not to order a pizza
[19:18]<@BC_Programming> that is the question
[19:19]<jamer> You dont have little ceasars there do you?
[19:19]<@BC_Programming> Probably somewhere
[19:19]<jamer> But you dont feel like biking there
[19:19]<@BC_Programming> I've been using Panago because their online ordering actually works
[19:19]<@BC_Programming> I don't have a bike
[19:20]<jamer> Or walking
[19:20]<@BC_Programming> why would I want ot go to a little ceasars anyway
[19:20]<@BC_Programming> It's Pizza, it's pretty hard to screw up Pizza
[19:20]<@BC_Programming> though frozen pizza's try their best to
[19:21]<jamer> Lol...
[19:22]<jamer> My brother cant cook them at all
[19:22]<jamer> Dang windows updates... Sucking my bandwidth
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> I don't let them install
[19:24]<jamer> 140kb/s with updates...
